Greetings affiliates,
I'm writing to you to update you on the progress of
the move from CCbill to NATS. While we intended to support CCbill links for
longer, it's proving to be complicated to separate the sites that Gamma
purchased from the sites we didn't. Therefore we will be pushing all
affiliates into the NATS program as early as next Friday. I'd like to take
a moment to explain why this is happening:
We did not buy all of the previous owners sites. He
is keeping some sites, which share billing, hosting and the custom content
platform. His sites are not leaving CCbill and all of the ones we bought
are migrating to our own billing. We are in the process of separating those
sites, but it's a complicated process.
These sites operate on two separate custom systems
and use billing that is not our own. CCbill also doesn't allow us to
transfer the users like some other billers do, so that further complicates
things. Anyone that's been in this business and dealt with moving legacy
sites and systems can tell you how complicated it can be, especially when
you are not moving the entire system and/or network. Having the owner of
the sites beholden to changes that we want to make to the system or vise
versa just doesn't make a lot of sense; for instance, we need to move
CCbill into the cascade in NATS and Alex needs to keep the existing CCbill
join process in place. This is causing issues in the NATS tracking and what
version of the join is shown to a user.
We tried to make this as painless as was possible
and allow people to keep using CCbill if that's what they preferred
(particularly because of the payouts in some countries), but it's proving
to be too complicated and progress prohibitive, so we have no choice
but to separate all the systems now. We spent the weekend duplicating the
CMS and are redirecting everything as we speak. NATS redirect will be the
next part to happen and we are putting the script in place early to convert
all CCbill sales to the corresponding NATS account as early as next
week.
What this means for you is that it'll be critical
that you log in to the new NATS account and grab new links. We've imported
the FHG's there and have stopped sending out the CCbill FHG's; new FHG's
will be published in NATS starting early next month. If you need logins in
the meantime to grab content, please don't hesitate to let me
know.
All existing rebills will still stay in CCbill and
will be paid directly via CCbill. All new sales and rebills made through our
NATS program will be paid from
Gamma.
If you have trouble resetting your password, it's
likely because the email address we imported from CCbill isn't current. If
you need help, please write to me at
office@femjoy.com and I'll reset your
password.
Thank you in advance for your patience and
understanding during this transition.
